Today I started running for Lifest. I really need to brush up on who my artists are. I know a lot of Christian music but as far as who sings them I am not always sure and I definately wouldn't know who they were if they walked right up to me. I felt like kind of a dope today when I was taking Mark Hall (the lead for Casting Crowns) on a run. I had no idea who he was until they got up on stage and started performing. DOH (slap on my forehead) Well, I will tell you this much, I will not ever forget who Casting Crowns is again. Two reasons, 1 all the members and crew we drove were SOOOO nice and kind. I talked with Melodee a bit and she was just so sweet. She is so beautiful to. Her and her husband Juan have a new baby Jesse and he is literally the cutest, sweetest thing ever. He is so precious. Taking her family and her Casting Crowns family in my van and them trusting us to get our job done is such a proud moment for me. 2--Casting Crowns gave the COOLEST show ever. Mark was sharing his testimony about having ADD and dyslexia. I was very touched by his story and he did help me see how the devil puts those thoughts into your head. That you can't do something. I was bawling like a baby because I have a huge problem with that. Having just being diagnosed 6 months ago with ADD and always feeling like I can't do stuff. Thank you Mark, for your words tonight. You are right when you said that the bands can't go home with us, but your words did go home with me, in my heart and my mind.
I was very touched tonight by all the bands and crew members I met. Even if I didn't know them :) I wanted to thank them for being so kind to me and the rest of the runners.
