Prayer please......
I am feeling the need to change my attitude. Joining softball was a big deal for me because I hadn't played in years and I was really afraid I would blow it big time. It seems the devil is getting to me. I have one or two bad plays and then I pout (have a attitude) at myself the rest of the game. I can't seem to shake it off and then it blows the whole rest of my game. I keep having these thoughts... maybe I should quit so I wouldn't be a hinderence to the team. I love this game, I love playing this game but I feel like maybe God is trying to let me know that this is not for me.... I don't know I am so confused. Maybe I am to hard on myself, or maybe I just really suck.

Maybe and maybe. Maybe it could be alot of things or maybe it could be nothing. This is just a game (sport) that is meant to be for fun! FUN! I don't think God would tell you not to play and have fun. To be around other christian women and be connected. It's not like its a career calling to you from him. I don't believe God wants you to enlist with the Brewers or anything. So why wouldn't he want you to play. Maybe, just maybe he wants you to play to fix that attitude you have! Those bad thoughts that you let creep into your brain and affect the way you feel. Bad plays happen to everyone. You are not good at something over night. You need to practice and remember, it is just about having fun. I'm sure there are other people on the team that have bad days just as well. Just stand up, shake the dust off your feet and move forward. Babe Ruth hit his first home run on May 16, 1915. It was his 5th hit in his 18th at-bat. In 1914 he had gone 2 for 10 with 4 strike outs. Therefore Babe Ruth struck out at least 4 times, but not more than 9 times before he hit his first home run.He goes up trying to take a swing on every strike, a style that would cause any other player to be benched. He either knocks home runs or strikes out. Any man who strikes out as many times as Ruth did can never be classified as a great hitter" (Smith, p. 79).

you are probably better than you think. change your thinking and pray before and after every game. Hope this helps. I will practice with you if you give me enough notice. Love in Christ
